Crime and Homicide Reports

In calendar year 2014, the Crime Report switched from a summary format to the more detailed NIBRS format, which breaks down serious offenses into three categories under Group A: Crimes Against Persons (murder, rape, assault, etc.), Crimes Against Property (arson, burglary, motor vehicle theft, etc.), and Crimes Against Society (drug violations, weapons offenses, pornography, etc.). DUI and other offenses are reported separately in Group B.

* Information in a prior Homicide report may be updated after the date of original publication to include individuals whose cause of death was ruled a homicide after that year’s annual report had issued.
