Anyone can request an opinion regarding a public entity’s violation of the open records or open meetings law. To do so, simply fill out this online form or send a letter or an email with the facts of the alleged violation, including the name of the public entity and the date of the alleged violation.
You must provide your name and contact information. We cannot accept anonymous requests.
For alleged open record violations, you will also need to provide a copy of the entity’s response to your request for records (if you received one) and your actual request (if it was made in writing).
