Human Trafficking

The Attorney General’s Human Trafficking Commission was established in 2015. It is charged with collecting and evaluating data on human trafficking activities in the state and promoting public awareness and training efforts. The Attorney General’s office partnered with the Human Trafficking task force and the North Dakota Council of Abused Women’s Services (CAWS) in these efforts.

 

 

Report on Human Trafficking

The Human Trafficking Report summarizes its activities and the status of human trafficking efforts across the state.

 

 

Prevention and Awareness Training

 

The Office of Attorney General has partnered with the North Dakota Human Trafficking Task Force to provide prevention and awareness training materials. These materials are available for review and download from NDHTTFAlthough details of the task force’s ongoing efforts are not publicly available, general information is reported in the Office of Attorney General Biennial Report.

 

Demand Reduction Program

 

The Demand Reduction Program, created in partnership with the University of Mary, provides the courts with a comprehensive intermediate sentencing, diversion and education option for offenders. The program was rolled out in July 2017.

 

Federal Human Trafficking Task Force

 

The Office of Attorney General is a member of the federal Human Trafficking Task Force for North Dakota.
