Distributor Licensing
To become a licensed distributor of charitable gaming equipment and supplies in North Dakota, you must complete and submit an application through our online Charitable Gaming Distributor Portal.

At the time of application, you must:
- Pay the $2,000 distributor license fee through ACH (electronic bank transfer). Setup instructions are available under the “Help” tab in the navigation bar once you enter the portal. Credit card payments are not available at this time.
- Upload all required supporting documentation.
Required Documents to Upload (As Applicable)
- Facility / Premises: Lease or rental agreement (required if you do not own the premises used to manufacture gaming equipment). Please note, you may only upload one in the lease agreement section. For all other lease/rental agreements, you will upload them in the attachments section.
- Business Type Documentation: North Dakota Corporate Certificate, Certificate of Organization, or Partnership Registration (as applicable)
- Distributor Information: Legal business name; DBA (Doing Business As), if applicable; type of business; physical address; and mailing address (if different)
- Regulatory History: Whether the applicant has ever been denied, suspended, revoked, or otherwise disciplined regarding any gaming license, or cited for, charged with, or found in violation of any gaming law or regulation. Supporting documentation must be uploaded to verify any “Yes” responses.
- States Licensed: All states in which the applicant is currently licensed as a Gaming Distributor.
- Locations: List the name and address of each location in Canada and the United States of all offices, warehouses, and any other distribution locations.
- Corporate Officers (all officers must be entered): Full name, phone number, email address, title/position, date of birth, state of residence, and date of last record check. You will also need to select one corporate officer as the Primary Contact.
- Shareholders (all shareholders must be entered):Full name, date of birth, date of last record check, and percentage of ownership/share. Shareholder percentages must total 100% before your application can be submitted.
- If shareholders are a company, enter the company name in both the first and last name columns. You can use the date of incorporation for your “birth date”.
- Employees: Full name, date of birth, and date of last record check.
- A Request for Record Check shall be completed by each owner, partner, corporate officer, employee, and member or shareholder of 10% or more and each sales representative, within 21 days of employment. You will be asked to furnish the date of the completed record check during application for each.
- If a record check has been completed within the last year, they can provide the results of this record check to satisfy this requirement.
Processing Time
Processing times vary depending on whether the submission is a new or renewal application.
- New Applications: Please allow approximately 4–6 weeks for processing, which includes completion of required record checks.
- Renewal Applications (previously licensed applicants): We anticipate a processing time of 1–2 weeks.
