By law, your license must show your current name. If your name has changed, the license must be reissued. There is no charge for the reissued license.
If the name change is a result of marriage, send your concealed weapon license, a copy of your marriage certificate and a letter explaining that your name has changed because you got married. Be sure to include your full maiden name, date of birth, and your current mailing address.
If the name change is a result of divorce or court order for change of name, you must submit your concealed weapon license, a certified copy of the court’s judgment or order, and a letter explaining the reason for the name change. Be sure to include your previous name, date of birth, and current mailing address.
Mail the letter, documentation and your concealed weapon license to:BCI - CWL NAME CHANGE

Please allow 2-3 weeks for the license to be reissued.
- Do not carry concealed until you receive the reissued license.
