Request: Did the City of Wildrose violate the open meetings law by holding a special meeting not preceded by sufficient notice?

Conclusion: The City of Wildrose held a special meeting on January 10, 2018. The city posted a notice of the date, time and location of the meeting at the gas station and post office, but the notice did not contain an agenda, the city did not notify the official newspaper, and it did not post the notice at city hall. During the meeting, the council voted unanimously to terminate its acting city auditor and hire a new auditor. The city of Wildrose violated the open meeting law by failing to properly post the meeting notice and agenda. However, the city then held another special meeting on January 24, 2018, where it discussed and confirmed the actions from the improperly noticed meeting. The city also published minutes of the improper meeting in the newspaper. The remedial steps taken by the city were sufficient and no further action is necessary to remedy the violation.
