STENEHJEM ASKS COURT FOR PRELIMINARY INJUNCTION IN WOTUS CASE

Attorney General Wayne Stenehjem and 12 other states have asked Federal District Court Judge Ralph Erickson in Fargo for a Preliminary Injunction to delay the effective date of the Environmental Protection Agency and Army Corps of Engineers “Waters of the United States” Rule.

Attorney General Wayne Stenehjem today released North Dakota’s crime statistics for 2014. The annual Crime Report is compiled from information reported by local law enforcement agencies across the state. 


NORTH DAKOTA LEADS MULTISTATE LAWSUIT CHALLENGING NEW EPA RULE

Attorney General Wayne Stenehjem joined with Attorneys General from eleven other states in filing a lawsuit against the U.S. Environmental Protection Agency (EPA) and the U.S. Army Corps of Engineers (Corps) over the EPA’s new rule defining “Waters of the United States” under the Clean Water Act.

Attorney General Wayne Stenehjem, along with Attorneys General and officials from 30 other states, sent a letter asking the U.S. Environmental Protection Agency and the U.S. Army Corps of Engineers to delay the effective date of their rule defining “Waters of the United States” under the Clean Water Act.

The federal district court in Wyoming yesterday temporarily blocked implementation of the Bureau of Land Management (BLM) Hydraulic Fracturing Rule that had been scheduled to go into effect today.
